Update: August, 10, 2022

Central Health recently received the site development permit from the City of Austin. While the permitting process is hard to predict and took longer than originally expected, we built a flexible construction schedule, and are optimistic that we can make up time during construction.

Next, it will take a few more weeks to receive the approved construction drawings from the City, as well as getting the environmental inspection done. Once these are completed, residents will start seeing more activity on the construction site.

While we worked through the permitting process, we completed other major items in the project plan. These include:

  • Allowed our general contractor to mobilize and put up their construction trailer and fence around the site
  • Released an invitation for bid and selected a vendor for the dental equipment
  • Created a plan around the artwork to be displayed in the center – based on community feedback
  • Developed a traffic plan with the Travis County Transportation and Natural Resources Division for the Elroy and Ross Road intersection
